All Black Everything

Do you get one of those days when you just can’t decide what to wear or can’t seem to find anything in your closet?! This is me… like almost every day, and it can be frustrating at times. But one thing I came to realize is that “when in doubt, wear black.” All black that is. It’s the most fail-proof outfit! My closet is filled with black pieces from head to toe, in different styles and textures. I’m pretty sure ya’ll feel me on this one. Black is just so addicting, and for a number of reasons: it flatters every skin tone, works for every season, flattering for any figure, and never goes out of style. So for this post, I’m wearing black head to toe. It’s so simple yet chic. I got this t-shirt dress from early Black Friday shopping at Foreign Exchange. They were having a buy-one-get-one sale so I went a little crazy and bought some basic pieces that my closet needs. I take pleasure in accessorizing my basics so I paired my slouchy beanie and favorite statement necklace. Enjoy loves!

Cozy Layers

The colder days in LA are coming, and thigh highs instantly become my best friend. You can literally find them everywhere, but I usually get mine from Urban Outfitters because they have a wide selection. Keep in mind that winter in LA is not as cold, so thigh highs are very appropriate, and with lots of layers of course. I make sure that I layer on until I’m cozy and warm because I’m easily cold! And oh, I stole this flannel from my boyfriend and never gave it back. Ha ha! Flannels are a good layering piece because it keeps you warm, and you can wrap it around your waist if it gets hot all of a sudden (that's LA weather for ya). I’m also wearing a knitted tunic that I picked up from Foreign Exchange on Black Friday, and my favorite platform boots—the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy that I got from Nasty Gal a couple years back. Culottes

Don't you feel tired of your same old bottoms at times? I know I do. So I try other ways to spice up my look. I found these shorts from Shop D&J and I love how it's different from the bottoms that I already have in my closet. They are also known as "culottes" and they are bottoms that look like a skirt but are actually pants. It flares on the bottom and hits below the knee--it almost hits my ankle because I'm a petite gal. It's the perfect bottoms if you are out for activities like biking by the beach or picnic by the park. It's all about to comfort, but still looking feminine.

It’s the perfect alternative for your usual skirt, pants or shorts! It has a silk-like material that's light and flowy, which makes it so easy to move in. I went for a more casual look as I paired the piece with a knitted crop top, moto jacket and booties. It's so versatile that I'll show you guys more ways to style it, so stay tuned for that! I also wanted to add a lil sparkle to my outfit by adding my statement necklace from Happiness Boutique.

Dark Bloom

I love wearing floral numbers, no matter what season. They’re so timeless. Wearing floral prints definitely brings out the boho girl in me. The floral patterns in grey scale are my favorite part of this dress from Chaser. It’s a different take on colorful florals in the spring or summer time. No doubt you’ll feel very feminine with its soft chiffon material, fully lined. But I love how to dark color balances that off. If you don’t know me already, I’m a sucker for low fronts and backs. So this just adds to my collection.

I brought out my coined belt dusting in my closet (can’t believe I haven’t used it in a while!) to give me a little bit of shape. And the time has finally come that I brought out my Steve Madden knee high boots! Last but not least, a floppy hat and dainty accessories as finishing touches.

Rough Around The Edges

You know I’m out for trouble and in for the fun with this outfit.

The moto fringe jacket: your classic black motorcycle jacket with a festive twist. It’s the perfect fall to winter transition outerwear. It can keep you warm enough, but definitely won’t make you lazy in this cool weather. Hence, It’s going to make you want to enjoy late nights out, or party it up at holiday feasts.

I rarely wear jeans but when I do, I’m very particular with what I want and how it fits. I found this overly distressed jeans from Behave Behave and it’s a for sure winner. It is light washed with a high-waist fit for that vintage look, which I love. It also shows enough skin and screams enough edge. I paired it with my moto fringe jacket because it enhances that rugged look, and then I added a soft, cream-colored top to balance it off.

I’ve been wearing my Campaltos from Shellys London almost everyday. I just love how they are really comfy, keep my feet warm, and can give me a good height. You can pair it with any outfit! It’s a versatile pair that every girl should invest in.

Pure Bliss

I hope you’re not sick of me in jumpsuits or rompers just yet. This jumpsuit is absolutely gorgeous and I feel the same being in it. It has a plunging front and backless detail, with a ravishing red color that will surely make you stand out from the crowd. Especially with this gloomy weather we’re having in California, the color is an eye catcher. You can pair it with your favorite outerwear for fall: wool trench, fur coat or a motorcycle jacket. I went bare because I wanted to show the back details. Perfect for a date with your special someone or a date with your girlfriends. A sultry piece like this one screams, “I’m out to have fun!” So, bye for now.

Wanderlust

Who said kimonos were only for the hot season? This baby keeps you warm for those not-so-cold days of fall. The material has a soft silky texture that just looks so good in black. Or maybe I just love the color black. The details are everything: perfectly embroidered Kerol. D. logo, vintage studs, and beautiful fringe that makes me want to twirl in all its goodness. I opted for a knitted crop top and shorts to show some skin but still keep myself warm, then a brassy statement necklace with chunky platforms to complete my look. My version of a fall outfit! These platforms from Public Desire are my favorite as of late; they’re super comfy and makes any outfit look good. 'Til next time!

Green With Envy

The seventies is definitely one of my favorite fashion eras. Everything from flare pants, wild flower prints, jumpsuits, tunics and platform shoes that add 5 inches to your height. Grooooovy.

This jumpsuit is just perfect for fall and I love how it reminds me of the seventies. It has a fitted waist and wide bottom flare, with a warm earthy tone of forest green. The 70’s jumpsuit trend was to put a wide belt to give you that foxy figure, but no need for that because this jumpsuit already has a corset that hugs your body gorgeously.

The sweetheart neckline gives you a voluptuous shape; you’ll leave the boys swooning. I wore my platforms from Public Desire because it just emphasizes the seventies vibe to it. I added my coin bib necklace because it adds a bohemian feel and a floppy hat to top off the look!

In The Plaid

Plaid is a must-have in your wardrobe for the fall and winter season. The print is not limited to the preppy style like it used to. Now you can incorporate different styles and looks, like simply getting a plaid flannel and wrapping it around your waist for a street look. You can also incorporate a plaid skirt into your wardrobe, with an impeccable cut and the length hitting slightly above your ankle for a sophisticated look.

It was love at first sight with this UNIF plaid skirt. I fancy plaid prints because it’s timeless and versatile. The overall color is like a smoke-y purple, which I’m really drawn to. The skirt fits my waist perfectly and flows beautifully with the soft material, with a high-slit and rugged edges. I paired the skirt with a cozy fitted long-sleeve for an effortless feel, and a wide-brim hat and wedge booties to complete the look. xo, Pau

Two-piece Is Better Than One

The two-piece suit is one of the biggest trends this season and I love it! It’s like a modern take on your classic office suit but even better because you can play and have fun with it. What I love about the two-piece ensemble is that you can be both fashionable and practical. Combining a top and skirt is like wearing a dress, but there’s so much more sophistication. You’ll be turning some heads thinking: “I love her dress! Wait, it’s a top and skirt!”

You can also wear them separately, which means… more outfits! The versatility makes it more fun because you can mix and match with other pieces however you want. You can get creative and really add your style to it. I’m wearing a two-piece dress that's a combination of a crop top and pencil skirt, which hugs the body really well. I have this obsession with stripes because it’s very classic and versatile. I also love the deep v neckline because it adds a flirty touch. Enjoy and have a great weekend! xo, Pau

Plunge In

Hi everyone! So, I have this thing with plunging necklines lately.

Being a part of the itty-bitty committee, I can gracefully flaunt my chest area with plunging necklines. It makes me feel very bold and risqué, and I don’t even have to show much. I’m also not the type to like or wear girly colors (or any color for that matter), but I fell in love with this mauve color on the Melina Romper. Tobi is one of my online destinations for dressy occasions because you will find something you'll love, no doubt. They have a whole ton of styles and colors to choose from! Variety is always good. I love rompers and the style is flirty without being too girly. The color is a perfect mixture of powder pink and lilac, and the texture makes the color even more soft and feminine. I paired it with a silver coin necklace from Forever 21 and hologram strapped heels from Zara to give more edge and glam. Enjoy!

It's In The Details

I appreciate the little things, and every detail in this SALSIT Marcy Romper has such a playful feel that I absolutely adore. It’s sophisticated but edgy with the black and white checkered print. The halter-top with low cut back and a peep through front is sexy without being too revealing. It's like a throwback to the 70’s with the flower crochet detail in the front. It’s flow-y and fun all around, you can whirl and twirl without a worry!

A wide-brim fedora is must for the fall weather and I’ve been adding it to almost every outfit. It simply completes my look and gives my head a little warmth at the same time.

Booties are another essential for the season. I love a cute pair of black booties because they’re comfy, stylish and versatile. Most importantly, it keeps my feet cozy and warm. I can finally wear my Jeffery Campbell Tardy again… It’s been collecting dust in my closet! The Tardy is chunky but light—I have a thing for chunky/platform shoes. These are one of my favorites because they’re cool and edgy.

,

I wanted to accessorize so I wore my Stinnys Lucy Choker. Its especially hand-made and uniquely designed—you can’t get it anywhere else! Check them out for more amazing pieces here.

Modern-day Goddess

My number 1 rule when it comes to fashion: NEVER be afraid to mix and match different styles and make it your own. This gorgeous heather gray twisted drape dress from Azkara Clothing is probably the most comfy AND stylish dress I own. The material is so soft and it hugs your body beautifully. It reminds me of a Greek goddess with the drape design, so I paired it with knee-high gladiator sandals. I wanted to keep the Grecian look but still made sure that I add my own style to it. So, I decided to dress it up with a bohemian necklace from Zara, and a black wide-brim hat from Forever 21 to top off the look.

Effortless

I love a good view spot but never thought it would be the best place to shoot pictures at, especially at night. When Jeff (@yojefff) took me to a view spot to shoot an outfit, I was doubtful at first. But he proved me wrong, and I loved how the pictures came out! We also got to enjoy the view for a bit while shooting.

A little black dress is a must in your closet. This is the Rolling in the Deep V Black Strapless Dress from LuLu*s that I got awhile back. I love the sweetheart AND deep V neckline. The dress is simple, yet sophisticated. It’s the perfect little back dress that can be dressed up or down. I chose to pair it with a denim jacket to dress it down since I was going for a more casual look. The dress looks effortlessly gorgeous by itself, but I decided to wear a statement necklace to complete my outfit.

Necklace: Urban Outfitters / Watch: Michael Kors

I wanted to give off a more edgy vibe for this second look, and the American Apparel disco pants does the job. I love how these pants fit me like a glove. It’s hard for me to find a pair of high-waisted pants that fit me well like these do.

I also love how effortless it is; throw on any top and you’re good to go! These pants never fail to grab people’s attention. So if you’re going somewhere and planning to make a statement, you should definitely get a pair.

I told Jeff how I like wire fences so he took me to this spot:

This was actually the before picture when I broke the fence...

Ha ha, I'm kidding! I couldn't help but laugh after taking that shot.
