“Never let the fear of falling keep you from reaching the top.”

I’ve always been afraid of heights—the thought of falling and the possibility of hurting myself scared the crap out of me. As I grew older, I learned that it was just all in my head. Although I still get that eerie feeling when I look down from a high angle, the satisfaction of overcoming that fear grew greater and greater. Just like anything I’m scared of or makes me feel uncomfortable, I perceive it as my motivation—a goal—to overcome it and not let it hold me down.

Going on a rooftop of an unfamiliar building and getting a 360 view of LA is something I don’t do everyday. It was breathtaking and I cherished every second. The perfect moment for my white kimono, where it stood out from the buildings and architecture. I polished the look with patent booties along with my favorite bodysuit and distressed jeans to give my laid back LA-look a city vibe to it.

Festival Diaries: Poolchella

Coachella is only about a week or so away and I am beyond ecstatic! This year is special because I teamed up with my girl Denise Gen and our friends at Tobi to showcase a festival-inspired lookbook. I told myself after Coachella last year that I will be more prepared with my outfits this year—and most importantly, have more fun with it. And what better way to have your gal pal with you?! Our outfits are inspired by the poolside parties, or simply put, wearing less clothes because we’re in the desert!

We have more outfits coming your way, so stay tuned! We can’t wait to hear which outfits will be your favorite. Don’t forget to check out Denise’s blog!

Wanderlust

Who said kimonos were only for the hot season? This baby keeps you warm for those not-so-cold days of fall. The material has a soft silky texture that just looks so good in black. Or maybe I just love the color black. The details are everything: perfectly embroidered Kerol. D. logo, vintage studs, and beautiful fringe that makes me want to twirl in all its goodness. I opted for a knitted crop top and shorts to show some skin but still keep myself warm, then a brassy statement necklace with chunky platforms to complete my look. My version of a fall outfit! These platforms from Public Desire are my favorite as of late; they’re super comfy and makes any outfit look good. 'Til next time!
