In case you didn’t know, the white sneaker trend is here to stay. It’s clean, versatile, and always in style. It’s a true classic! White sneakers compliment every outfit, and everyone has been obsessing over this trend, me included. In today’s blog post I’m showing you my how I’m styling my new white adidas UltraBOOST!

I currently have a great selection of casual white sneakers in my closet but I was looking for a comfortable pair that I can wear on my off-duty days, either to workout in or for my airport look. I recently got a pair of white adidas UltraBOOST from Finish Line and I absolutely love this knitted, white-out color way. I love how UltraBOOSTs are so comfortable and versatile! Finish Line has been my go-to for shopping athleisure shoes and clothing because they offer a wide variety of styles from my favorite brands like adidas! I can always find what I’m looking for on their site, and even got  a white pair for my boyfriend to match :)

When it comes to styling, I love wearing my white sneakers with biker shorts because it gives that effortless cool girl vibe! On the other hand, my boyfriend loves wearing his with jeans for a clean street style vibe. How do you style your white sneakers? Would love to know in the comments below!

How To Style Sneakers + Summer Staples

Since summer is just around the corner, I wanted to add a few staple pieces that I thought would be perfect to wear all season long! I was specifically looking for pieces that screams comfort and style, and immediately thought of adidas—one of my favorite brands to shop for my athleisure looks! I found a few items from Finish Line that I absolutely love, and thought I’d share them with you:

1.     Everyone needs a pair of reliable sneakers, and the adidas UltraBOOST has been my favorite for years now! I’m a big fan of them because they’re the most comfortable shoes that I own. I actually needed an upgrade from an old pair I got a few years back, so I decided to get a new pair in white and grey to match my monochromatic wardrobe! I love how I can wear these both to the gym and the airport. They’re the perfect all-around sneakers for the style and functionality, especially for all my fitness and adventure-loving gals out there! I’m also loving the other colors in all-white, black, and pink!

2.     Crop Tops are such a staple piece in my closet because they’re so versatile and easy to wear! I love how this top is cute on it’s own, but you can style it in so many other ways! For example, I would throw on a light jacket for a cool, effortless look; or layer it with a sheer top for a night out. There’s also other colors like white and blue!

 3.      Biker Shorts are a big obsession of mine because they can make any look effortlessly chic! You can dress it up or down and stay comfy while you’re at it. You can go for an “elegant and polished” look by throwing on a blazer, or a “casual and cool” look by wearing an oversized tee! I also love how the stripes on the side gives it such a sporty vibe!

4.     Clear bags are all the rage! Did you know that most music concerts and shows require event-goers to wear only clear bags for safety measures? But hey, I’m not complaining! They’re super cute and fun! I thought this fanny pack would be the perfect everyday summer bag. They also have a crossbody option if that’s more your style!

 5.     Last but not least, a cute hat to complete the look! I found this denim bucket hat and thought I had to get it. I’m currently obsessed with anything denim and I love the subtle print on it. They also have this in white, black and camo!

I hope you guys loved the wardrobe essentials I shared above! And if you’re planning on adding any of these items to your wardrobe, or if you already have an item or two in your closet, please let me know! I would love to hear your thoughts. I’m hoping that summer can come sooner because I’m excited to show you more styling ideas with these items. Until next time :)

Thanks to daylight savings this past weekend, I was inspired to style my first spring look of the season. I love stripes because they’re the most versatile print out there that can spice up your look. You rarely see me in color but I thought this top was too cute to pass up!

I always try to opt for vertical stripes because it elongates the body and makes it look slimmer. Something that petite girls like me have to consider! I got this bustier top from N12H and I adore the ruffle and crochet detail—I think that the colors and details are perfect for spring! I wanted the top to really stand out in this look, so I paired it with a black hat and jeans. I'm wearing my newest straw tote that I found I Bali (I'm kinda obsessed), and my new favorite Gucci sunnies from the early 2000's that I stole from my dearest momma (yasss, I got my sense of style from her). I hope you liked this look - you can shop similar pieces below!

NYFW Highlights with Bumble and Bumble
7E1B3629.jpg

This past NYFW, I had the opportunity to work with Bumble and Bumble to give you backstage and front row looks on a few amazing shows! Keep scrolling down as I give you styling tricks from the experts, telling us how we can recreate some NYFW hairstyles this season.

TANYA TAYLOR

Tanya Taylor's Fall 2017 presentation was filled with rich autumn colors, ranging from bold prints and different textures. Inspired by the 70's waves, Bb.Global Artistic Director Laurent Philippon wanted to give the models effortless soft curls. This hairstyle definitely won me over!

Styling Methods: Spray De Mode hairspray for a strong yet flexible hold, and Does It All hairspray to give a soft, touchable finish while controlling flyaways.

CLUB MONACO

The hair for Club Monaco is very laid back, and we’re adapting the look to every girl’s hair texture in the lineup. It’s about finding the right recipe of product for each hair type to help embrace and accentuate their natural texture.
— Laurent Philippon, Bb.Global Artistic Director
The key is to make it look like they’ve done it themselves and that a hairdresser wasn’t there doing it.

Styling Methods: Spray damp hair with Prep, and then apply Surf Foam Spray to break up the texture. Blowdry with fingers, using the Dyson Supersonic. Mist Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Dry Oil Finishing Spray throughout to add a light veil of oil and added texture. For longer lengths, use a hair tie and create a loose ponytail at the base of the head, pulling it halfway through to create a messy, looped bun.

LACOSTE

The hair this season is about embracing your natural texture, with a gritty, messy look and feel
— Laurent Philippon, Bb.Global Artistic Director

"We are toughening up the look by tucking the hair behind the ears, which we've never done before at Lacoste. While it's a laid back look, it's not as easy as it looks because as a hairdresser, you need to be super light-handed and incredibly precise."

Styling Methods: Make a deep center part and spray Prep throughout. Apply Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry and blow dry. Tuck hair behind ears and apply a small amount of Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry to hairline, just above ears to keep in place and to help push back bangs or fringe.

CREATURES OF THE WIND

It’s a little 70s, a little dirty. When they are walking, we want it to stay close to the head and still look natural at the bottom.
— Holli Smith

“There’s already a lot of diversity in the casting so we left the girls’ haircuts. It’s something simple and easy-looking that they could achieve on their own and I think that easiness is really important – it’s intentional as a hairdresser,”

Styling Methods: On dry hair, liberally spray Thickening Hairspray throughout, with an emphasis on the part line and less on the ends, so hair stays close to the head. Use hands to slightly break up the hair. For curly textures, stretch out the curls with hands, heating them up with a blow dryer. When the curl is released, it will stay close to the body.

SELF PORTRAIT

The inspiration is a sexy London girl going out. The look is all about individuality, and accentuating each girl’s haircut with a ropey, natural texture.
— Jimmy Paul, Bb.Editorial Stylist

Styling Methods: On curls, start with damp hair and apply Curl Conditioning Mousse throughout. Diffuse or let air dry. On damp hair, make a side part and create a cocktail by spraying Prep and Thickening Hairspray throughout lengths. Blow dry or let air-dry. Tuck one side behind the ear and leave the other side loose.

I’m asking each model things like what side part she thinks looks best on her. The look is meant to feel a bit homemade, like they’re doing their own hair at the show.

GYPSY SPORT

This season, in this crazy world, they wanted to send a message of love and they understand that fashion can be a platform to send such a message.
— Laurent Philippon, Bb.Global Artistic Director

“We are working with such a diverse casting, without gender boundaries, so we are respecting this, working with this, and having fun. We have some very exaggerated styles including beehives – for those, we are doing a lot of backcombing and shaping them with the help of Strong Finish Hairspray."

I hope you enjoyed these looks as much as I did! Which one was your favorite? Comment down below! x

Bare

The summer heat is here and I find myself wanting to wear nothing but my bodysuits and a good pair of jeans. What drew me to this bodysuit is the unusual cut on the chest area; it gives a tasteful reveal for the itty bitties. I also love the choker detail it has since I’m so obsessed with them right now. Felt so effortlessly badass with these raw-edged mom jeans, and added a great pair of minimal heels to finish off the look.

This season, I got the chance to partner up with Missguided to bring you some summer outfit ideas! I’m loving their new swim collection because they offer a variety of styles—whether you’re partying by the pool or bumming it at the beach—you’ll be bringing the heat all summer long!

I’ve got a new appreciation for a good pair of jeans, it really does go along way. Can you believe I used to hate wearing them?

Gloomy days like today, I don’t feel like dressing up. I try to vibe with the weather so I look for something monochromatic and effortless! Manière De Voir brings these elements to their pieces and they have been my go-to on days that I don’t feel like trying (but still want to look like I did).

It feels great to be back at Coachella, and I’m back with a bang in this killer outfit. I took these photos at their beautiful Rose Garden, isn't it pretty? Staying true to my style, I kept it edgy with cool metal details in both denim and suede. I wanted to break the bohemian trend we usually see at the grounds and went for a badass look! And when you’re wearing fringe, it just makes everything more fun. You bet I danced and twirled all day with this one.

I’m really feeling this SoCal weather right now. Coming back from the freezing temperatures in Chicago, it almost feels like Spring back home. Hence, I bust out my denim overalls from Dolly Girl Fashion pretending that it’s springtime. This cute little number looks like it came straight from the 80’s! I do love vintage-style pieces, and I really like how this one flatters my petite figure. You can catch me repeating this outfit at a festival!

Ready to break hearts with this Valentine's Day look.

image.jpg
image.jpg
image.jpg

Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to dress up and do something fun. Whether you’re going on a romantic date or a girls’ night out, a LBD is always appropriate. This year I’m going for rebel chic: my trusty cropped moto, cut-out bodycon dress and pointy-toe heels to create the look.

image.jpg
image.jpg

Talking about Valentine's Day, my ideal date would be to get out of town—to go to a city I’ve never been to. I live for exploring new places and trying new things! Then later, ending the night with a nice dinner—food is definitely the way to my heart. ;)

This year, I celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early for the reason that I’ll be out of town, attending NYFW. I went to Chicago this past weekend with my boyfriend celebrating our anniversary and it was nothing sort of amazing. I will save the deets for the next blog post so stay tuned!

California Winters
image.jpg
image.jpg

It feels as if the winter season gets colder and colder in California every year. Nowadays, I can’t leave the house without a coat when in the past, all I needed was a light jacket. I’m not complaining though! I love being able to wear coats this season and layer my favorite pieces.

image.jpg
image.jpg

I’ve been on the search for a camel coat and I’m glad I found this one from Lioness. My wardrobe is very monochromatic at the moment so it’s nice to add some color for once! It’s the perfect color and the right structure for my petite body. I couldn’t let it go.

image.jpg
image.jpg

Even though it’s been colder lately, the weather is still unpredictable. Cold, hot, then cold again… That’s why I opted for cutoff shorts, so that when It gets hot, I can simply take off my jacket and put it back on when it gets cold again. Some summer pieces are still useful this time of year when you mix it with your winter staples!

I love contrasting pieces—my black boots complemented the white dress really well.

Now that the holiday season is here, I’m running errands left and right. My endless list includes gift + grocery shopping, preparing for holiday parties and the like. So when I’m on the go, I like to stay comfortable and functional. Shopping involves a lot of bag carriage so having my Avenue Dee fanny pack makes my life easier for the fact that it’s always secure around my waist (instead of carrying it around). I also love wearing my Air Max Thea that I got from Zappos because it keeps me comfortable while running errands all day!

Fall is in session but we are slowly (but surely) transitioning into the winter season. Now that it's getting chillier in Los Angeles, I'm in the hunt for the perfect outerwear. I found this Karen Kane jacket and it's definitely a winner! Being a SoCal gal, I get cold easily. However, I simply throw this jacket on and I'm instantly toasty thanks to the faux-fur lining. It's faux-leather but feels amazingly comfy. This is my must-have piece for the season!

Cluse is an essential timepiece in my lifestyle. It gets me through the busiest of days, timing every second to help me reach my goals—big or small.

When my day is fully booked with meetings and shoots, my Cluse watch helps me keep track of time without other distractions (for example, I would end up going on an Instagram rampage if I was to check the time on my phone). It helps me meet my deadlines, which is crucial when it comes to working with a variety of brands.

Its simplicity keeps me focused, and completes my look overall. Its sophisticated in its own way, with an elegance that enhances my style. Simply put, my Cluse watch brings out the best in me both internally and externally.

It feels like the fall season has barely hit (thanks to the LA weather), but I’m so excited for winter! Mostly because I can wear shaggy and faux fur coats—the more texture, the better! This shaggy little thing moves with you so it would be so fun to wear at parties, whether it’s for a friendsgiving or a holiday party. It’s a great way to upgrade your outfit to the top!
