The little black dress, better known as, the LBD. Coco Chanel started the trend and it has remained a classic ever since. It’s probably the most versatile staple in your closet because you can dress it up or down and can match anything you already own. I have a growing LBD collection in my closet, because well, for the very reason that it’s so versatile. You can instantly look dressed up without even trying. I love how this LBD shows my figure, and the criss-cross details with low back that makes the dress an eye-catcher. I got this dress from Modlook 29 when I visited their store in LA and it was such a great experience. They have so many selections and were very helpful. The new year is almost here!!! It's crazy how 2014 flew like a breeze. You know what they say, time flies when you're having fun...and working hard!

This past year has been good to me and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store. I'm thankful for all the opportunities and experiences I encountered, and especially to those who has supported me all throughout the way. This coming year will be a great one and I can't wait to share it with all of you. So, cheers to the new year!

My last blog post of the year are my NYE outfit options that I shot with Ryan Chua (@ryanbyryanchua). It was the first time meeting and shooting with him but we already had an instant connection. I had so much fun! He shoots many fashion bloggers, and I'm not surprised because he's amazing at what he does.

It’s Monday and you know what they say: no matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up! Mondays might be dreadful for some of you but one of the things I love about it is dressing up for work or getting back on your grind. This black duster coat is everything I wanted and more on a day like today. It’s a classic staple in your autumn/winter closet. First of all, I love how it’s black so you can literally pair this baby with anything—no need to be indecisive. It has an oversized fit with slits on the side, so I recommend wearing pieces that show a lil bit of skin like a crop top or a slip dress. I wanted to dress the coat down by wearing a crop top and light denim shorts, then add accessories like a wide-brim hat (yes, my best friend this season) and gold jewelry!

Do you get one of those days when you just can’t decide what to wear or can’t seem to find anything in your closet?! This is me… like almost every day, and it can be frustrating at times. But one thing I came to realize is that “when in doubt, wear black.” All black that is. It’s the most fail-proof outfit! My closet is filled with black pieces from head to toe, in different styles and textures. I’m pretty sure ya’ll feel me on this one. Black is just so addicting, and for a number of reasons: it flatters every skin tone, works for every season, flattering for any figure, and never goes out of style. So for this post, I’m wearing black head to toe. It’s so simple yet chic. I got this t-shirt dress from early Black Friday shopping at Foreign Exchange. They were having a buy-one-get-one sale so I went a little crazy and bought some basic pieces that my closet needs. I take pleasure in accessorizing my basics so I paired my slouchy beanie and favorite statement necklace. Enjoy loves!

The colder days in LA are coming, and thigh highs instantly become my best friend. You can literally find them everywhere, but I usually get mine from Urban Outfitters because they have a wide selection. Keep in mind that winter in LA is not as cold, so thigh highs are very appropriate, and with lots of layers of course. I make sure that I layer on until I’m cozy and warm because I’m easily cold! And oh, I stole this flannel from my boyfriend and never gave it back. Ha ha! Flannels are a good layering piece because it keeps you warm, and you can wrap it around your waist if it gets hot all of a sudden (that's LA weather for ya). I’m also wearing a knitted tunic that I picked up from Foreign Exchange on Black Friday, and my favorite platform boots—the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy that I got from Nasty Gal a couple years back.
